Barb Newitt, Brad Newitt, and Jeff Berndt
are the AP Physics Teachers in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. They have led their

Barb Newitt
has been a Physics instructor at Roosevelt High School
in Sioux Falls, South Dakota since 1999. She currently teaches
Advanced Placement Physics©
and Modern Physics (a conceptual course in Atomic, Nuclear, and Particle
Physics.) Mrs. Newitt was a 2007 recipient of the National Siemens
Award for outstanding Advanced Placement teaching in Math and Science,
which is awarded to 50 teachers nationally each year. |

Newitt
has been a Physics instructor at Lincoln High School in
Sioux Falls, South Dakota since 2009. He currently teaches
Advanced Placement Physics©,
Conceptual Physics, and Modern Physics (a conceptual course in Atomic,
Nuclear, and Particle Physics.) Prior to his employment as a high school
teacher, Mr. Newitt worked as a collegiate Math Professor and Basketball
Coach at the University of Sioux Falls in Sioux Falls, SD. |

has been a Physics instructor at Washington High School
in Sioux Falls, South Dakota since 1998. He currently
teaches Advanced Placement Physics©
and Conceptual Physics. Mr. Berndt was a
2008 recipient of the
National Siemens Award for outstanding Advanced Placement teaching in
Math and Science, which is awarded to 50 teachers nationally each year.
He was also a reader for the National Advanced Placement Physics©
exam in 2009.
